Our Need

FoodFight needs money to reach the greatest number of students and bring our program into more schools and communities adversely affected by the obesity epidemic.

Your generous donations will go directly to support various aspects of our program. 

Levels of Contribution

  • $10,000
    Supports FoodFight program in a school for an entire year.  The FoodFight program includes a week long teacher training workshop, all curriculum and media materials, cooking supplies, additional wellness resources and program evaluation.

  • $5,000
    Supports FoodFight training program for 10 teachers. The workshop is designed to prepare teachers to deliver the FoodFight curriculum.  During the training, teachers work with our curriculum, learn from experts in the field of nutrition, media literacy, community activism etc and share best practices with like-minded professionals.

  • $2,000
    Supports the FoodFight culinary program in 10 schools.  Chefs visit the FoodFight classroom to teach students how to prepare a variety of low-cost, nutritionally sound meals.

  • $1,000
    Buys video cameras for students to conduct environmental scans of their neighborhood to chart the number of fast food establishments and the kinds of marketing and advertising strategies aimed at encouraging the consumption of nutritionally bankrupt food.

  • $500
    Covers the cost of seeds and earth and basic materials for a school to begin a small herb and vegetable garden.

  • $250
    Covers the cost of a supermarket field trip to instruct students on strategies for avoiding common consumer traps.

  • $50
    General Support–Every penny counts.
