There are a variety of ways for you to get involved and make a difference. Your expertise can play an invaluable role in educating our teens and empowering them to take ownership over their health and wellbeing.

Doctors

FoodFight doctors deliver specially designed FoodFight curriculum modules (1 – 2 hrs) that highlight the physiological effects of a poor diet.  We provide training and curriculum materials. You provide the white coat and medical expertise.

Nutritionists

Our nutrition educators play a vital link in helping to educate our students about the basics of good food.  FoodFight nutrition educators teach lessons on portion v. serving, whole v. processed foods, label decoding and smart supermarket shopping.  We provide training and curriculum materials but are open to your input as well.  Nutrition lessons occur over 4 – 5  (50 minute) classroom sessions.

Chefs

All FoodFight students are given the tools and knowledge necessary to shop and cook simple, affordable and nutritious meals.  FoodFight chefs demonstrate basic cooking techniques in the context of showing students how to prepare recipes they can incorporate into a healthy lifestyle.  We provide recipes, curriculum and food stuffs.

Teachers

FoodFight holds regular week-long teacher training workshops.  Workshops provide teachers with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the FoodFight curriculum, learn from experts in the field of health, nutrition, culinary arts, food politics, community activism and more.  Most importantly, teachers have the opportunity to work with a community of like-minded professionals and share best practices.

Principals

FoodFight is a transformative curriculum that can be embedded in your regular academic schedule and meets state standards in Science, Social Studies, English and Health. FoodFight also acts as a health and wellness resource coordinator, helping to bring a wealth of resources to your school community.
